Rara Lake Trek

The mesmerising view of the Rara lake in Jumla region is one of the fascinating treks in the Himalaya through remote countryside toward the Tibetan border. This lake is five km long and two km wide, lies in the northwest of Kathmandu in the remote area of Karnali. A journey to Rara lake is incredible and fascinating treks undisturbed by hordes of trekkers.

With “off the beaten track” surrounded by the glimpse of cultures and scenery. The clear, high altitude lake of Rara, mirrors the snow capped Himalayas is ringed with blue pine, black juniper forest. Himalayan cypress Lake Rara is a popular serenity pilgrimage for Nepalese.

The national Park is one of the best places in Nepal to see wildlife, musk deer, leopards, Himalayan black bear, and the rare red panda are all native. The park is also a bird watcher’s delight, especially during November and April when many species of birds visit during their seasonal migration.
