Bardia National Park lies in the Terai region near sub-metropolitan city Nepalgunj. It is located at It is 516 km from Kathmandu and accessible through 1 hour flight or 12 hours bus ride. An informal name of the area of Bardia National Park is “Naya Muluk” which means a new country.

Nepal  had lost the area of Bardia National Park to East India Company when the Sugauli Treaty was signed. However, the area was returned to Nepal after Nepal supported in Indian’s Independence Movement in 1960.

Bardia National Park is the most undisturbed park of Nepal and attracts tourists who prefers nature in its wild habitat.
